The affiliate tracking does work reliably; it has been thoroughly tested and some affiliates have received thousands of dollars in commissions. How well an affiliate link works depends on the amount of traffic that the page with the link receives, whether the visitors to that page are in LinkMachine's target audience (web developers) and how the link is presented. A personal recommendation and review, for example, is much more successful than a simple banner ad.
