I'm transferring my site to a different host. How do I copy over my LinkMachine installation?:
First download the "linkmachine.dat" file and all other files ending in ".dat" from the "linkmachine" directory on your old web host. You can do this under Change Settings >> Backup Data, or using an FTP program.

Then change the nameservers associated with your domain name to point to your new web host. Your new web host can tell you how to do this if you're not sure how.

Next, install LinkMachine on your web site at your new host, just as you did on your old host - using either the automatic online installer
or the installation script.

Finally, upload the "linkmachine.dat" file and all other ".dat" files that you had downloaded from your old host's "linkmachine" directory into your site's "linkmachine" directory on your new host. You may need to turn on the write permissions for these file also (chmod 666).

You should then be able to log in to LinkMachine on your new host, using the same account e-mail and password as you used on your old host. All of your link data should be intact.

Make sure that whatever directory you have LinkMachine generate your link pages within exists on your new host, and has its write permissions turned on.
