Using LinkMachine has gradually become very slow; it takes a long time to refresh. How can I speed it up?:

The more sites that are added to your LinkMachine database, the longer it will take for LinkMachine to complete any operation. How many sites your LinkMachine installation can handle depends on the speed of your web server; some slow down with 1000 links, others are still fast with 10,000 links.

One thing you can do to speed up your LinkMachine installation is delete all of the sites that you have removed. When you remove a site its status is set to Removed, but it is still in your LinkMachine database. That way, LinkMachine can make sure that it is not added again in the future. But if your LinkMachine installation is slow, you may want to completely delete all of the sites that are set to the status Removed. For information about how to do that, click here.
